The community right to bid gives local groups the right to bid to buy community buildings and facilities that are important to them.

The first step is to nominate the building or facility you'd be interested in bidding for as an 'asset of community value', using the asset of community value nomination form.

If the council decides to list the building as an asset of community value, this does not mean that you can force a sale. However, if and when the owner does decide to sell, you can use the Community Right to Bid to pause the sale for up to 6 months in order to organise a local bid to buy it.
