Challenge a parking fine

Advice on what to do if you have received a parking fine that you would like to challenge

If you don't follow parking regulations you may get a parking ticket (a penalty charge notice, or PCN).

Whoever was driving the vehicle at the time, it's the registered owner or keeper who is responsible for the PCN unless there is a signed hire/lease agreement.

Challenge a parking ticket (PCN)

If you don't think you should have been given a parking fine, you should contact the Parking Services Team. Please allow 20 working days for a response to a challenge.

The parking ticket (PCN) is issued at either £50 or £70 depending on the reason for the ticket. The amount is reduced by 50% if you pay within 14 days.  This amount will increase if payment is not received within the specified time restraints.
