Street Cleaning

The Council’s street cleansing teams keep the District’s adopted streets, parks and open spaces clean and free from litter to the standards required under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 Code of Practice for litter and refuse.

This is what you can expect from the street cleansing service:

We will:

• Sweep the District’s Town Centres and main shopping areas seven days a week
  
  
• Empty the District’s litter bins, as necessary
  
  
• Sweep residential areas at frequencies ranging from a minimum of once per fortnight up to a maximum of three times per week, depending on usage.
