Shepway residents will be able to park for up to three hours every day in Shepway Council car parks for just £50 a year from 1 April. The residents' permits will give local people up to three hours of free parking at council car parks across the district.

Shepway District Council has approved plans to expand Lydd Airport. Two planning applications – one for a runway extension and one for a new terminal building - went before councillors tonight (Wednesday 3 March). After a full and extensive debate councillors voted by 27 votes to 12 votes to approve planning permission.

Anyone who pays their council bills with cash or Debit card will be able to complete their payments at more than 40 shops and Post Offices across Shepway from 1 December.
