Dog Breeding
A licence is required for any establishment where there is a business of breeding dogs. The licence is a requirement of the Breeding of Dogs Act 1973.
Shepway District Council licences such establishments to ensure that animals are kept in suitable accommodation, supplied with adequate food and drink, are adequately exercised, that precations are taken to prevent the spread of disease among animals and that steps are taken to protect animals in the event of a fire.
Fees
A Dog Breeding Licence expires on 31 December every year and the grant/renew fee is below:
2 - 10 bitches - £104
10+ bitches - £195
