Lower Leas Coastal Park, Folkestone

In 2006, the third part of the Lower Leas Coastal Park in Folkestone was completed and the whole park is open throughout the year for everyone to enjoy.

From the harbour end is the new Formal Zone, with its formal flower beds and gravel pathways to meander along. In the middle is the Fun Zone! There's the Amphitheatre, which has a summer programme of free events at weekends during July and August (see Amphitheatre Events), and the children's large adventure playground. The third area is the Wild Zone which is particularly popular for its secluded spots and picnic areas.

For catering, the Mermaid Cafe Bar is situated close to the promenade, below the play area, and there should be a mobile catering unit on performance days at the Amphitheatre. Public convieneces are situated close to the playground.
