Moving about the map

You can refocus the map using the pan buttons shown below. Each of the buttons will move you up, down, left or right.

Zoom

You can zoom in and zoom out, by selecting one of the following buttons and then clicking on the map to zoom in or out. Please note that where you click on the map becomes the centre of the new map.

Reset

This resets the map with default settings i.e. Ordinance Survey Map showing Feature ward for the whole district.

Selecting Features

You can select features from the drop down available on the left frame. Some features will not appear in the list until you have zoomed in closer to your area of interest. The features help list contains an explanation for the terms used.  Please note that this option will only be processed if the Display button is pressed after selecting the option.

 

Selecting Base Map

You can select the feature to be displayed on the Ordinance Survey Base map or Aerial Photography. Please note that this option will only be processed if the Display button is pressed after selecting the option.

Selecting Towns & Villages

You have the option to quick link to Town & Villages using the drop down provided. Please note that this option will only be processed if the Display button is pressed after selecting the option.

Bird's eye view

The Birds Eye View image is a simple overview map of the district showing your current location whatever the scale.

Map Legend

The current scale of the map is displayed under the “main map". This changes as you zoom in and out of the map.

Terms and Condition

Standard Terms and condition are provided for the map usage. Please note that unless you accept the terms and condition by clicking the check box, the map will not display any information other than the default.
