Adoption

The Shepway District Local Plan Review Revised Deposit Draft, was the subject of a Public Local Inquiry from 17th  June to 17th December 2003.  The Inspector for the Inquiry, Mrs Stephanie Chivers, submitted her report and recommendations to the Council on 26th June 2004.

The Adopted Shepway District Local Plan Review

The Shepway District Local Plan Review was adopted on 16th March 2006.

As part of the transitional arrangements from the old Local Plan to the new Local Development Framework (LDF), the Local Plan Review (2006) will expire on the 16th March 2009 and only those policies that have been saved by a direction from the Secretary of State will continue to be part of the Development Plan for the district.
