Flying high on Red Arrows news
The world-famous Red Arrows will be flying in to thrill crowds in Folkestone on Saturday. The display, which starts at 2.30pm, was secured by Shepway District Council and Folkestone Town Council after the town’s airshow had to be cancelled for financial reasons. The display, which will last for at least 20 minutes, will be visible for three miles either side of the Leas Cliff Hall. It can be seen from The Leas, The Coastal Park and seafront.
The display is free. Normal parking arrangements will be in place and usual charges will apply.
Acknowledged as one of the world's premier aerobatic teams, the Red Arrows are the public face of the Royal Air Force and will entertain crowds with their breath-taking stunts and manoeuvres. 2013 will be the 49th display season for the Red Arrows in which they will inspire and enthral millions of people both in the UK and around the world.
