The boy admitted daubing graffiti in three places and asked Folkestone Juvenile Court to consider 11 others incidents. He struck at Beech Close, The Polo Ground in Cheriton Road and Madeira Walk, Folkestone and various places in Sandgate. The £700 costs were awarded to Shepway District Council and the money will be used to buy more graffiti cleaning materials. Cllr Hugh Barker, Cabinet Member for Community Safety, said he was pleased the Kent Police has pursued the case and got a very satisfactory outcome. “We gave the police as much information as we could and we are delighted with the outcome. Graffiti blights our beautiful district and we will do all we can to help police bring perpetrators to justice.” Anyone who can identify graffiti ‘taggers’ or who has any information about perpetrators can report them in confidence by texting 07812 989 361 or by calling 01303 853600 Created : Mon,28 Jun 2010 Updated : Fri,02 Jul 2010 |
