Main ContentTwin set in townHundreds of visitors from France and Germany will be in Folkestone on Saturday (30 May)as part of a ‘double decker' twinning visit.Folkestone's twin town of Boulonge is also twinned with Zweibrukken in Germany, and the people of the two towns have forged strong friendships through sport and music. To celebrate 50 successful years of twinning with Zweibrukken, Boulogne has invited its guests to Folkestone. Three hundred French and German visitors - including 40 German and French councillors - will meet civic leaders, council officers and representatives from Discover Folkestone, Hythe and Romney Marsh and be given guided tours around the town. The two-day visit includes a trip to Canterbury, which is now part of BOSCO+ - the Boulogne, Shepway and Canterbury Co-operation Association set up to forge cross-channel links and secure European funding for a range of projects.
