Play scheme success

Nearly 1,000 children have enjoyed free play activities in the school holidays since the Play MAP programme started last July.

Run by Shepway Council and funded by the Big Lottery, the Mobile Activity Programme took a range of activities to venues across the district.

The latest programme ran over the Easter holidays in Folkestone, Hythe, Hawkinge, Lympne, Lydd, Lyminge, Newington, New Romney, Newchurch and Stelling Minnis and attracted 165 children.
