Plenty of fun for the holiday

The Easter holiday holds plenty of fun with free play sessions taking place across the district.

Funded by the Big Lottery, and organised by Shepway Council, the sessions provide a range of exciting toys, games, activities and fun for youngsters up to 18.

The sessions will be run by qualified play workers at 10 venues across the district. Parents and carers are invited to attend and join in the fun, and volunteers are welcome.

The sessions will be held at parks and recreation grounds in the following areas between 11.00am and 3.00pm:

Saturday 4 April: King George V playing field, Newington; Monday 6 April: Downs Road Recreation Ground, Folkestone; Tuesday 7 April: Kettle Drive, Hawkinge; Wednesday 8 April: Oaklands, Hythe; Thursday 9 April: Octavian Drive, Lympne; Friday 10 April: The Derings, Lydd; Tuesday 14 April: Jock's Pitch, Wear Bay Road, Folkestone; Wednesday 15 April: Newchurch Play Area; Thursday 16 April: The Leas (west), Folkestone;
Friday 17 April: Fairfield Recreation Ground, New Romney
