A draft Appraisal has been prepared by external consultants on behalf of the Council.  Once adopted, this document will become a material consideration in the determination of planning applications in or immediately adjacent to the Conservation Area.

Sandgate Draft Conservation Area Appraisal

The Council has commissioned external consultants to carry out the Sandgate Conservation Area Appraisal. The appraisal proposes a revision to the boundary of the Conservation area. Consultation has already taken place with Sandgate Town Council and the District Council Members who represent the Sandgate wards effected.

The Hythe Conservation Area Appraisal was adopted by the council on the 8 May 2008 and is now a material consideration in the determination of planning applications in or immediately adjacent to the Conservation Area.
