Once adopted, this document will become a material consideration in the determination of planning applications in or immediately adjacent to the Conservation Area. The draft document and appendix are available to view below. Sandgate Draft Conservation Area AppraisalThe Council has commissioned external consultants to carry out the Sandgate Conservation Area Appraisal. The appraisal proposes a revision to the boundary of the Conservation area. Consultation has already taken place with Sandgate Town Council and the District Council Members who represent the Sandgate wards effected. Hythe Conservation Area Appraisal (8 May 2008)The Hythe Conservation Area Appraisal was adopted by the council on the 8 May 2008 and is now a material consideration in the determination of planning applications in or immediately adjacent to the Conservation Area.
