Shepway District Council no longer hosts its own Contracts register; this is now held on the SECE (South East Centre for Excellence) Business Portal, along with the details of Contracts for all of the other Councils in the south-east of the Country.

To obtain details of all current contracts held by Shepway District Council please use the link below and follow the steps, also provided below:

1. Click on link shown above.
2. Click on "Contract Store" on left-hand menu.
3. Select "Kent" in the "Select Sub Region" field (use the drop down arrow and select).
4. Click "Refresh".
5. Select "Shepway DC" in the "Choose Council to view" field (use drop down arrow and select).
6. Click "Go".

What is the South East Business Portal?

Supplier Information

The South East Business Portal is designed to allow the sharing of information about existing contracts and forthcoming tendering opportunities across the 74 councils of the South East region.

The portal has been developed by the South East Centre of Excellence (SECE) and is aimed at helping suppliers and councils within the south-east region.

The 74 south-east councils collectively spend between £4 billion and £4.5 billion each year on bought-in goods and services.

The portal offers suppliers the opportunity to:

• Have free of charge registration and access to council opportunities, as well as an e-mail alert feature
• Register against their category of expertise
• Register against specific opportunities as they come up
• Search the Contracts Store – suppliers can view full contract details for their chosen product or council by individual council, category of goods and services or by contract title
• Advanced Search facility allows suppliers to look for contracts across a wider selection of information.
• Download selected information into spreadsheet format
• Provide feedback via the on-line feedback form.

Opportunities

Suppliers may register their interest in specific opportunities shown on this Portal and/or receive e-mail notification of new opportunities for specific categories of goods and services they are interested in. In addition, suppliers can also receive notification of opportunities as relating to a specific council or group of councils.

Registration for a specific opportunity will ensure that your company is included in the council’s selection process for that tender. Registration via this Portal does not guarantee that you will be invited to tender.

Similarly e-mail notification of a new opportunity is a prompt for you to decide whether to register your interest or not for that particular tender. It does not automatically include your company in the process.
