Amateur dramatics have been given a boost by the opening of the Tower Theatre - owned by FHODS (Folkestone and Hythe Operatic and Dramatic Society) and available to other performing groups and local community use.

PANeK (Performing Arts Network Kent) supports the making of theatre and live performance in east Kent. It was established in 2005 by the arts officers of local east Kent authorities to support work in east Kent. Kent County Council is also providing funding to enable the network to cover the whole of Kent.
