Folkestone Town Centre Management

Folkestone Town Centre Management (FTCM) Limited was established in 2001. It is a not-for-profit company, whose aim is to manage and promote Folkestone. It is committed to the regeneration of the town, and in particular the town centre. The organisation does this through a range of promotions, events and retail activities, and acting as the key link between retailers, local businesses and public sector organisations.

Some successes during 2006/07 include:

• In partnership with Shepway District Council and BOSCO, FTCM Ltd. successfully bid for Interreg IIIa and Awards for All funding for promotion and events.
• Carried out a series of Easter events including an Eco-Fair and French market.
• Delivered a successful Christmas Lights Switch-on.
• Provided vital support to Shepway District Council in welcoming the British Resorts and Destinations Association (BRADA) to the town in July 2006.
• Floral displays sponsored by retailers.
• Carried out survey work to look at the impact of the new Sunday market.
