How do I apply for a temporary road closure?

If you would like to apply for a temporary road closure in order to hold a specific event (for example, a parade, or street party) you will need to submit a written request to the Council, either by letter or email, or by filling out the form below and posting it to the Civic Centre.

You should make sure that your request reaches the Council at least four weeks in advance of the event.

What information should my request include?

• You need to let us know:
• Details of what the event is
• The date and time of the event
• Which road(s) you would like closed (be as specific as possible - maps are always helpful)
• The times between which you would like the road(s) to be closed
• Your own contact details (with a telephone number or email address where possible)
