I want to buy a piece of land. What do I need to do?
If the council owns the land, you need to put your request in writing to Mr S Holley, Property Manager. You should enclose a plan marked to show the area to which you are referring.
How can I find out who owns a piece of land?
We can tell you if Shepway District Council owns the land in question. What you should do is to supply us with a plan marked showing the area to which you are referring so that we can then compare it with the council's land holding maps.

There is damage to my property. What should I do?
If Shepway District Council owns your property, we will need details as to the location of the damage. If the property is a residential home you should contact Housing Services. If the property is not residential, we will assist you to find the appropriate person to deal with your problem.
If Shepway District Council does not own your property you will need to seek independent advice.
