What to do if you are threatened with homelessness
Stay Put. Contact the Shepway Housing Centre immediately for advice.
You can call in person to:
Shepway Housing,
3-5 Shorncliffe Road
Folkestone
01303 851700
between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays)

What to do if you have problems with your current landlord
Your landlord cannot force you to leave your home without a Court Order.
If your landlord gives you notice to leave or if they try to force you out for example, by cutting off services, you should stay put and contact a solicitor, the Shepway Housing Centre or the Police.
You can get a booklet from the Shepway Housing Centre called 'He Wants Me Out' which will give you more information about harassment.
You may be entitled to Legal Aid if you need to use a solicitor.
