Recycling Advice

Reduce

By shopping wisely we can reduce the amount of rubbish we produce - avoid over-packaged items, use refills and SNUB - Say No to Unwanted Bags.

Reuse

Avoid single use 'disposable' products. Using cotton, washable nappies with colourful, modern designs will save you a fortune as well as the planet!

Recycle

Did you know that by placing your paper and card in your blue bag, using your black box for glass, plastic bottles, tins and cans, taking textiles to the local recycling site and composting kitchen and garden waste we could reduce rubbish by a massive 70%!

Compost

More than 20% of household waste is organic kitchen or garden waste. Composting is a better way to treat organic waste. The final soil enriching-compost replaces peat-based products, thus protecting important wildlife sites.
