Notice of Revocation

The Shepway District Council (“the council”) hereby revokes the designation that the Shepway area shall be subject to the Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) additional licensing scheme introduced by virtue of the provisions of the Housing Act 2004 (Commencement No 5 and Transitional Provisions and Saving) (England) Order 2006 with effect from 3rd July 2006.

The revocation covers the entire Shepway District Council and is effective from 3rd July 2006. The council has decided to revoke the additional licensing declaration and scheme because it does not contribute to the private sector housing aims of the council.
