Site Inspections
Once your application is approved and works are underway, you must notify Building Control of the following stages of work for inspection:

- Commencement of works
- Foundation Excavation
- Foundation Concrete
- Material Laid on Site
- Damp Proof Course Laid
- Drains Ready for Inspection/Test
- Drains Backfill
- Occupation/Final Completion

The Building Control Officer may wish to inspect at additional stages e.g. insertion of steelwork, roofing, first floor etc.
You or your builder will be notified on site of when the Officer next wishes to inspect.
An inspection can be booked any time in advance and up to 10.00am on the day of inspection.
Please give as much notice as possible when booking an inspection. Generally visits are given a timeslot of AM (morning) or PM (afternoon) however during busy periods this is not always possible.
In special cases timed visits can be arranged, however this is at the Building Control Officer's discretion and cannot be guaranteed.
