Members' Allowances 2009-2010
| The following payments were made to councillors of Shepway District Council in the year ending 31 March 2009. Allowances are a contribution towards the costs of councillors' constituency work as well as their Council duties. All councillors are paid a Basic Allowance annually. Special Responsibility Allowances are paid to some councillors to recognise additional responsibilities they carry out for the Council. Travel, Subsistence and Other Allowances are paid against expenditure actually incurred. Allowances, where appropriate, are treated as taxable income. |
