Street Trading

The Licensing team is responsible for the licensing of street traders within the district of Shepway. Street Trading is defined as the selling, or exposing or offering for sale, of any article (including a living thing) in a street. A 'street' for the purposes of this definition, includes any road, highway, footway, beach or other area to which the public have access without payment.

The Council has designated areas within the District which are either prohibited from street trading or require a consent to trade from the Council. A street trading consent is vaild for 12 months.
