The Council has a statutory duty to investigate accidents in accordance with RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995). If you are an employer, self-employed or in control of work premises you will have duties under RIDDOR. It is a requirement of RIDDOR to report some work-related accidents, diseases and dangerous occurrences. It applies to all work activities. You must report the following:
Reporting an accident at workThe process for the notification of accidents is to report all cases to the Health and Safety Executive's Incident Contact Centre. This can be achieved by a number of ways:

Post: * Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations The Incident Contact Centre will forward details of incidents in this area to Shepway District Council if your business involves retail or wholesale, hotel and catering, sports and leisure, residential accommodation (excluding nursing homes), places of worship, pre-school childcare and mobile vending.
